Microarray
Microarray is an analysis method that uses semiconductor chip technology to plant many probes on solid planes such as glass slides and react with samples to secure comprehensive genetic information at once. Although it was developed to secure genetic variation and gene expression information from DNA and RNA samples, the demand for microarray for RNA analysis has been decreasing due to the decrease in next-generation sequencing costs. Yet this method is still being widely used for DNA analysis with custom chip development. The most widely used manufacturers include Thermo Fisher, Agilent, Illumina, and etc.
